ROUSSET, your holiday accommodation in the Tarn region of SW France, 45 minutes from Toulouse, proposes a choice of holiday accommodation: two self-catering gites and bed and breakfast. All have access to our fenced-in swimming pool.
We have satellite TV as well as broadband WIFI internet available in all of the gites and the bed and breakfast accommodation. Stay connected with the rest of the world whilst enjoying your holidays in France.
Rousset is situated in the heart of the Pays des Bastides (Cordes sur Ciel, Castelnau de Montmirail, Puycelci, Bruniquel). Toulouse, Albi and Gaillac are close by.
A dip in the Atlantic or the Mediterranean is only a few hours drive away (as are the Pyrénées mountains, Spain and Andorra).
Rousset is a traditional French farmhouse and has been completely renovated by your hosts, Derek and Amanda Nash. The main house and gites form an interconnecting
“U” shaped building. Rousset is comprised of one bed and breakfast with private entrance sleeping two persons and two self contained gites, each sleeping up to 6 persons.
Rousset is ideal for families with children, your pets are also welcome. All the accommodations have their own entrance with outdoor space in the garden for your evening meals or bbq.
Rousset is a stone's throw away from the bastide village of Salvagnac, where the local amenities include a restaurant, a bakery a chemist a doctor a post office and the Café des Sports.
If you are a keen walker, the GR 47 is at the bottom of the track and we are also on a popular cycling route.
This is an area rich in vegetation with its forests and sumptuous lanscapes of rolling hills, lakes and rivers. It is an ancient country rich in prehistoric remains. Vestiges of the middle ages, including the Cathar and Inquisition periods, still remain. Mighty lords once ruled this land, building fortified cities, bastides and magnificent castles. Many of these monumental structures have survived and can be visited today.
This area is very well suited for discovering rural France, its culture, its food and its wines.
